How does the wildlife react to this grass? Will this have a negative impact on reducing the wildlife like Deer that would be eating corn or beans?

I wonder if the growth properties and long season of Miscanthus has properties that can genetically crossed with corn, soy bean and other properties to make them more productive? Why are the stalks from the corn and their husks not harvested and used for bio fuels?

@djbynite deer wouldnt be eating either of those if humans didnt grow them, its just another plant that isnt toxic, wildlife will actally prosper since nearly every part of the plant feeds a different animal

This stuff has to be like phragamities(sp) grows like mad and nothing eats it. I figure it would make good ethanol and pellets for stoves. i have it growing in my lot, appx. 2 acres of it. Looks nice, but is a pain.
